Nicole shows us her winged backpack for Ama, her character in our steampunk crew. The notion is that the character’s backpack is a radio transmitter, the wings are not actually intended for flight. See the little antennae? Heehee, so cute.

Woow!! is just gorgeous! <3
I was fortunate enough to see this in person at Dragoncon. Thanks for sharing this amazing piece of work.
Holy shiz, that is the coolest backpack in the world, I want one so badly, it looks amazing.
Is her character from a book or video game or something or did she make her up?
to be a steampunk is kinda simple; act like your in the 1800s, own a pocketwatch with visible gears, and get gears and other polished brass things together and invent things that is ether a mix on something you have (like make a new case for your computer) or jest make a backpack like that. you can find tutorials everywhere i found some on deviant art.
very cute backpack. Ama is now a steampunk, LET IS REJOICE XD! Im still trying to get my first pocketwatch T_T
That’s so very awesome! Oh my god! I want to get into steam punk soooo bad…
can that fearless leader and prop master give some insights on how to make something like this? (not to copy.. but in holland, steampunk is almost none exitend.. and well.. how else can we learn?)
Wow Danny must be an exelent craftsman!
<333 Those are amazing. I quite admire your backpack. It is inspiring in a way.
Cool to see this in action finally.
that is so amazing!
beautiful!
OOPS, I accidentally hit “remove” on someone’s comment instead of “reply” … :/
Anyway, to the person who said we should make the wings move, they do! They’re not mechanized, but you can move them up or down manually.
Our fearless leader and prop master, Danny, is responsible for its construction. Thanks ^_^
coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
wow that was awesome!
Pretty nice device there. =)
Nice! That looks really awesome. Did you make it yourself?
Ah I see. That backpack is just made of pure awesome!
Yeah, it kind of makes this little clicky noise as the gears spin around, and the grating noise is the motor.
That’s incredibly sexy. Is the grating noise from the mechanism?
