E-Sky has a $19.95 R/C Computer Simulator. How’s it work?

by admin on February 28, 2010

www.dpbolvw.net That is the link for xheli.com’s website who sells this sim. Pay for the E-Sky USB Transmitter and FMS program is included free, as a shareware program. The program Graphics are clear. Also cheaper than a half a tank of gas, this is an affordable TOOL to help learn R/C flying, without the expense of crashing real models. I had none of this when I learned and it cost me thousands of dollars and hours back then. To get it to work on Vista required downloading a DLL file from the internet. This worked well. I also had to run the Transmitter through a USB multi port block, so the required resistance was met. It would not work plugged directly into the Computer’s USB port. If your TX is not being seen, try that. So I hope you folks learn on a simulator first, saving yourself some aggravation when you begin to fly real models. Hope this video gives you an insight of the program. I apologize for the fuzzy video, but it should still give you an idea of how well this sim works. Thanks for watching, good luck, and happy flying.

khabx6 February 28, 2010 at 10:29 pm

@filipe3361 absolutely not

khabx6 February 28, 2010 at 10:32 pm

@laithsrc and to think ……..you just paid $20 for that conversation piece…..after all
“FMS E-Sky” is a free download online

You paid that $20 fee plus shipping for the transmitter. That’s what your given for advice when you try on their “help” forum

@remotecontrolaholic you need to make sure you have the ofte missing file associated with running this program.

“dll.3″ for your system..search for that file if you don’t have it installed…search for it and down load it. When downloaded…run it in your windows 32 bit folder…….follow what he said in the begining of this video……he had the same problem when trying to run.

Yea!!!…that’s about as realistic ….as a Family Guy episode…lmfao!!!

Some one needs to fly the “Pitts” or a heli using this sim…(E-Sky)….then attempt it
with a real R/C. Let us know how that worked out for you..(if your even able to get it off the ground)……E-Sky= waste of twenty bucks

khabx6 March 1, 2010 at 12:54 am

E-Sky SUCKS!! You want to learn how to fly? or be prepared what to expect when you attempt real r/c flight? Spend the buck! It’s well worth it!
Great Planes Real Flight!!!!

khabx6 March 1, 2010 at 1:23 am

@NettmediaHD did that also..it worked…but the flight dynamics and physics are not anything close to being realistic

khabx6 March 1, 2010 at 2:03 am

@ardfghjk mine works fine (Vista)..with a real flight sim..g3.5…….didn’t with that piece …I did deal with it…..round file for E-Sky…..junk. Older Dave Brown sim gave better than that.

@ThizzFaceOffNike ..no

khabx6 March 1, 2010 at 2:30 am

@ThizzFaceOffNike ..fraid not…most come with their own…or offer one for their program…(interface)
Some will come with the interface lead to use your own trans ( Futaba / Jr radios..etc)

khabx6 March 1, 2010 at 2:33 am

@filipe3361……. agreed

khabx6 March 1, 2010 at 2:40 am

@popcorn8190 E-Sky SUCKS! Try a real sim…(GP Real flight)…and you’ll see!
I tried it… and tossed it. Now have $20 entertainment piece….(E_Sky’s transmitter) Go into your local hobby shop that caters to R/C..they’ll tell you the same.

khabx6 March 1, 2010 at 3:22 am

@popcorn8190 if you really want to learn r/c flight…….plane physics and reaction are the trick…graphics also help (if you’ve got the video card and the ram to run it….which I’m sure you do if you’ve got a newer system
I started with this E-Sky sim..and went to a g3.5 sim…it blows it away!…and the flight physics are more realistic if you really want to learn R/C flight.

As far as setting up….run the program for your system..follow the directs….register….
and your flying!
